MedIndia Institute of Medical Specialities (a unit of MedIndia Hospitals) has put in place a public health information system, specifically for providing information on all types of digestive diseases through the Toll-Free Digestive Diseases Helpline number 12789. Through this Toll-Free helpline, members of the general public from all over Tamilnadu would be able to speak to trained medical professionals and clarify their doubts regarding various kinds of digestive diseases such as jaundice, hepatitis, liver diseases and digestive cancers.
In addition, they would also be able to get information on disease conditions, vaccination schedules, dietary advice and treatment options for blood vomiting and other zero hour emergency management protocols.

(b) Jaundice Information Centre (JIC) with 24-hrs hotline facility With Help Line Number 98409 -93131

This is a telephone-based 24-hour online Jaundice Information Support Facility, where members of the public can have their doubts clarified with respect to all aspects of Jaundice and related conditions by qualified medical professionals.

(c) MedIndia Rural Voluntary Health Service

Medindia Rural Voluntary Health Service (MRVHS), is a non-profit voluntary organization instituted by MedIndia Hospitals, Chennai. MRVHS seeks to create awareness and educate the rural public about communicable diseases, silent digestive diseases and digestive cancers Rural Public will be educated through Lectures, Posters, Video Films, Charts. The rural population shall be educated about Hygiene and pollution based diseases, preventive measures and treatment options. MRVHS shall perform scientific database collection of symptoms and related health conditions.

MedIndia Charitable Trust, is a non-profit organization affiliated with MedIndia Hospitals, Nungambakkam, Chennai & Coimbatore has been started with the objectives of promoting the following;

(e) Project Yellow

The primary objective of this project is to evaluate, educate and eradicate jaundice of all forms through active interaction between the medical institution and general public. This is being done through collaborative measures with Indian corporate sector, associations, individuals aided by proper dissemination of jaundice related information to affected parties. This project also aims to put in place primary measures for non-recurrence of jaundice, especially in rural areas with negligible Medical facilities.
