Braille Charts on “Tips on Health & Hygiene” and Health Cards on “Clean Health Habits”

Disabled school children particularly the blind, have compromised personal hygiene which was identified during the routine free Medical camps conducted by MedIndia Charitable Trust, Chennai. In view of that, they are more prone to develop repeatedly many communicable diseases which are likely to have an impact on the development of their physical growth.

These Braille Charts have been distributed in English and 12 vernacular languages such as Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odisha, Punjabi, Telugu, Urdu and Tamil, in their respective states and regions.

The Braille Chart project has received the approval of National Institute for Visually Handicapped (NIVH) at Poonamallee, Chennai and also from the Central Institute of NIVH at Dehradun, Uttarakhand, thus cementing its status as a project of national importance.
